Baked Ziti Casserole
Baked Ziti Casserole
Cooking Light, OCTOBER 2007
YUM YUM and more YUM! We doubled the recipe was we had about double the ground turkey. It was our first REAL experiment with ground poulty that he wasn’t all eh about. YUM! It’s look weird when you’re putting it together, and it was a little soupy when it came out of the oven, but that all setttled down when it was serving time. This does need a nice salad to go with it, though. The turkey didn’t taste like turkey, it was nice. It cooks in the sauce. You don’t brown it before assembly, which I thought was weird. I would make this again!!
Knife
Cutting board
Measuging cups and spoons
Large mixing bowl
13×9 casserole dish
Wooden spoon
So, we revsited this recipe and actually used the ground turkey that it calls for. It was pretty good! Sometimes, when I’ve browned ground poultry, it has a funny taste. I’m glad you don’t brown the turkey in this one. It absorbs the flavor of the sauce and tastes pretty good. Can’t really tell you’re eating ground turkey!!
